• Managing information security programs in the information centers and the e-portal.
• Determining information security policies for the university according to international standards.
• Determining specifications and standards for the equipment and programs designated for the protection of PNU departments and units.
• Determining policies for dealing with information security problems to resolve them in a timely manner.
• Disseminating information security awareness and culture among PNU employees.
• Conducting quality assurance tests to protect networks and systems.
• Utilizing state-of-the-art techniques that can improve work and security of equipment.
• Granting authorizations to personnel authorized to access information center.
• Reviewing security policies and preparing development plans.
• Ensuring the availability of equipment and programs that serve as protection tools in all information centers.
• Ensuring the efficiency of the protection programs on computers.
• Submitting information security status reports to the Department Chair.
• Conducting any other tasks assigned.
