The laboratory at King
Abdullah University Hospital succeeded in
obtaining the accreditation of the College of American Pathologists
(CAP)
The
accreditation procedures included sending inspectors to examine all the
procedures in the department of
pathology and laboratory medicine
through 4,000 standards
as well as auditing the qualifications of the staff ,
instruments quality control and safety
program.
The program also includes sending samples to be tested and sent back,
to ensure that
test results are always accurate
CAP has been a medical facility for more than 65
years serving more than 20,000 laboratories in over 100 countries around the
world.
This accreditation give the confidence that the laboratory is
operating consistently at the highest standards of quality and patient care
