(SSDC)- Life Support (LSC) Team in collaboration with American Heart Association (AHA), who were armed with the team’s lifesaving advocacy, responded to the call to conduct a Massive Community Service Campaign to spread awareness of Saving Lives in two easy steps: the Hands-Only CPR and Basic First Aid. PNU SSDC LSC Team has started to train Volunteers immediately to help the Team achieve this year’s adherence to AHA’s Heartsaver Month Campaign 2019 to cover a large number of community groups in Malls, Schools in both Female and Male Secondary and Universities, and Training Clubs. The Campaign was directed to the different AHA Training Centers in all of the Middle East and North African Region which aimed to spread awareness on how to save someone in Cardiac Arrest in just two easy steps and that Immediate CPR from someone nearby can double – even triple – his chance of survival. The PNU SSDC LSC Team had been doing this campaign since 2015 and was recognized by AHA to be the pioneer of training school children from 9 years of age, all – year round. The new upgrade for this year’s campaign is the recruitment of almost 200 volunteers who contributed their time to train the community with the First Aid Skills and Hands-Only CPR. At the end of the month, LSC has announced about the total number of people had been trained in the whole which are 34,415 trainees.
