Women’s Studies Program (Research and Application Methodology)

Within the role of the center for promising research in social research and women's studies in developing the skills of faculty members, researchers and the assistance of researchers interested in women's studies inside and outside the university. Developing their scientific expertise in the preparation of women's studies, the Center has established a program

Entitled" Women's Studies: Research and Application Methodology"

Objectives of the scientific program:

• Transfer of scientific expertise to researchers at the university.

• Enhancing scientific communication with researchers specialized in women's studies.

• Identify new research ideas in women's studies.

Topics of the scientific program:

- Conceptual framework for women's studies.

- Applications to measure the development of women's status through indicators of education, labor and health.

Target group:

Faculty members, researchers and the assistance of researchers interested in women's studies, inside and outside the university

Day 1: Training course: the conceptual framework for women's studies

Presented by Dr. Abeer Dabayneh. Director of the Center for Women's Studies at the University of Jordan

Day 2: “Applications to measure the development of women's status through indicators of education, labor and health" course.

 Presented by Professor / Amal Kharouf Professor at the Center for Women's Studies at the University of Jordan

Day 3: A closed workshop to discuss the results and recommendations of the program in the presence of the Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research , Dean of Graduate Studies, the directors and members of research centers at the university.

Recommendations:

The participants in the program recommended attention to women's studies and enhancing cooperation among different disciplines to study the Saudi women's reality, participation and challenges.​
