The General Department of Strategic Partnerships is considered  the main driver in the development process at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, as it is responsible for continuous and quality cooperation with local, international bodies, universities and organizations. The General Department of Strategic Partnerships (local and international) seeks in its entirety to advance the university's position at the international and local levels and advance it in the global rankings and open the door for communication between the university and regional and global bodies and organizations. It also supports academic, research, development and training cooperation between Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University and highly ranked international universities.

The General Administration of Strategic Partnerships is keen to conduct joint research, transfer and localize modern technologies in various scientific fields and provide training programs to develop the capabilities of the university's scientific and administrative staff. It also focuses on developing new programs at the level of graduate studies in line with the requirements of the modern era and in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and its requirements.​​​​
