Mission:

Provide a motivating environment to promote scientific researches as well as the projects supported by the Deanship of Scientific Research.

Objectives:

• Activating and developing scientific research in many fields by funding research projects or cooperating with the public or private sector.

• Relating research policies with the objectives of university and community needs.

• Supporting competencies of faculty and postgraduate students by giving rewards to distinguished research and researchers.

• Focusing on the quality of outcomes by offering motivation and clear procedures for the research environment.

• Supporting original research that is innovational and creative, and researches that entrench the national Arabic Islamic identity.

• Raisinging the level of research by identifying the training needs of faculty members in the College of Arts, and coordinating with the Deanship of Development to establish courses.

​Tasks and services of the center:

• Prepare annual plans for the center and follow-up implementation after approving them.

• Suggest the general goals and policies of researching in College of Arts departments and follow-up implementation.

• Contact and encourage educational departments to implement what supports the researching movement.

• Encourage making research groups and teams between different majors.

• Support research projects according to scientific research regulations.

• Raising the level of research by identifying the training needs of faculty members in the College of Arts, and coordinating with the Deanship of Development to establish courses.

• Request publication of distinguished theses, scientific and educational books, and researches.

• Create a database of the conducted scientific researches and books of faculty members in the College of Arts.

• Create a database of the researches being conducted to follow-up the implementation stages according to the approved plan of each research.

• Create a database of conducted researches to share them with universities and research centers related to the nature of each research.

• Create a database for juries of faculty members of departments of the college from all universities.

• Facilitate researchers' mission by contacting and making partnerships with centers and specialized authorities to exchange the information and experiences, as well as offering help to researchers.  

• Provide scientific advice to the relevant authorities to departments of the College of Arts.

• Do any other tasks assigned to it in its field.
