Admission requirements
All foundation year courses are mandatory. Students are automatically registered in these courses through the Deanship for Admissions and Registration.
• Students are divided into homogenous groups after taking the English placement tests, where they are classified into levels of English proficiency. This way, they can realize the anticipated benefit of the condensed English program. The placement test is not part of the student’s assessment, and is not calculated with the GPA.
• Students who successfully pass the level courses are automatically registered in the courses of the next level according to the approved academic plan.
• Students who are academically challenged will be registered in courses that will guarantee them the minimum academic load in each level, taking into consideration the following:
• There is no conflict in the academic schedule.
• Prerequisites are covered.
• Should a student fail in a specific course, she will have to retake it until she passes it. All grades are registered in the student’s academic file.
• Students may not withdraw from or add any courses.
• Students may not register in more than one track for the same course.
• Students may not attend in any track other than the one they are registered in. Such attendance will not be considered and they will be considered absent in their original track.
• Students assume full responsibility in confirming the absence of mistakes or conflicts in their academic schedules, and they should visit the Deanship for Admissions and Registration if otherwise.
• Students must visit the Deanship for Admissions and Registration for any procedures related to their academic records; such as university cards, registration, withdrawals, postponements, transfers, and more.
