Vice Deanship of Academic Affairs
​​Definition:
The Deanship of   Affair Academicis concerned with the continuous improvement and development of educational programmes to achieve the requirements of the labor market, by raising the efficiency of performance in the college and creating the educational environment supporting students and faculty members.
​Objectives:
Creating an educational environment that helps creativity and excellence by developing the student's skills, taking care of their professional and educational needs, attracting outstanding faculty members and improving their performance.
Continuous development and improvement of educational programmes according to quality standards and academic accreditation requirements.
Improving teaching and learning strategies to improve targeted learning outcomes.
Developing methods of evaluating students so as to contribute to achieving justice and raising the efficiency of outputs.
Strengthening institutional partnerships to serve the education process.

Application of the rules and regulations for the study and exams regulations for all academic years.
Supervision of the units and committees of the deanship of academic affairs

Preparation of the academic schedules and coordination with the departments of the college and other colleges in cooperation with the Deanship of Admission and Registration schedules.
Preparation of the examination schedules in coordination with the academic departments, the Deanship of Admission and Registration, forming its committees and following up on its work.
Follow up the progress of the Academic Achievment
Supervise the teaching schedules of Faculty in coordination with the academic departments.
Supervision of the curriculums of the joint courses between the academic departments in the college.
Preparation of the annual report on the performance of the deanship and its units and committees.
Supervision of the financial affairs of the deanship in accordance with the regulations and laws.
Follow-up and finalization of Graduation Clearance procedures in coordination with the Deanship for Student and Community Services.

Missions
Supervision and follow-up on all matters of registration of courses, electronic  courses and initial registration.
Presentation of the Deanship's view regarding the plans developed by the College and updating them according to the academic system after its approval.
Taking all necessary academic measures for the college students in accordance with the regulations and rules governing university study.
Linking the academic supervisors with the students and following up with the academic advising unit on the reports and individual performace.
Recieve, implement and registr of requests for postponement and transfer from one specialization to another and applications for re-enrollment and withdrawal from the semester of the students.
Preparing periodic reports and statistics for the students of the college for each semester of the cognos system.
Linking faculty members with courses and extracting reference numbers.
Updating and sending the number of applicants to the course and sending them to the concerned department.
Implementing and supervising the equation of the applications of candidate students for transferring to the Faculty of Dentistry with academic departments.

Academic Advising Unit
Missions
Preparing new students to learn about university life.
Helping students face academic problems.
Introducing students to academic programmes.
Defining the student to the academic rules and regulations.
Following up  academic performance of students the and helping those who are troubled by them.
Following up students who excel and provide them with skills that raise their level of achievement.
Building social and positive relationships between students and faculty members.
Following up the registration unit for student schdules and following up their academic performance.
Preparing periodic reports and statistics for students for each semester.

Joint Courses Unit
Missions
Coordinating work between academic departments and exchanging successful experiences.
Following up the implementation of joint academic courses according to professional standards and academic accreditation standards.
Proposing, implementing and following up on the actions and initiatives that are envisaged for the development of the academic process.

Assessment Unit
Missions
Arranging exam dates, and responsible invagilators of the final exam.
Photocopying questions and dividing them and adding automatic correction papers as per the number of students (when the test is on papers).
Creating the exam and processing it via the Exam Soft system (when the test is electronic).
Processing exam questions and delivering them to the course director on the exam day (when the test is on papers).
Supervising the invagilation process during the exam.
Correcting exams and approving results.
Reviewing results upon receiving them from academic departments for approval.
Preparing periodic reports and statistics for the students of the college for each semester of the Cogens system.
The Assment commitee is under the unit, reviews the new questions periodically for approval  and analysis, and create  questions' bank.

Student labs unit
Missions
Supervising the work of the student labs.
Following up the needs of the student labs of materials, equipment and supplies in coordination with the warehouses and supervising the supply and installation them.
Providing the necessary requirements for pre-clinical courses and ensuring that the educational environment in the laboratories is appropriate.
Supervising the reports of the standards of the devices and determining the need of the laboratories of maintenance and restoration and following up their implementation.
Preparing an annual r eports to the Vice Deanship of Academic Affair on the progress of  labratories.
Assisting the deanship in planning and organizing everything that will facilitate the work of the labs.
Defining the tasks aof technicians and assistants according to their specialty.
Developing appropriate mechanisms for the delivery and receipt of instruments to students.

E-Learning Unit
Missions
Developing plans for e-learning at the college and following up on their implementation.
Working on upgrading the readiness of the e-learning unit to provide the necessary support to faculty members.
Providing consultation to faculty members in the best practice and correct practices in e-learning.
Spreading the culture of e-learning between faculty memebers and students.
Encouraging e-learning practices.
Coordinating with the Deanship regarding the training needs in the field of e-learning.
Continuous communication and attendance at periodic meetings.
Supporting faculty members regarding the learning management system and support systems.
Dealing with the problems of the network and making recommendations to improve the information technology system at the college.
Following up and reporting on e-learning practices.
Receiving suggestions from faculty members.
Working as a liaison between the College and the Deanship in communication with the technical support of the Deanship of e-learning to solve all the problems facing faculty member in the college
Continuous follow-up of faculty members to download educational content on the Blackboard system.
Preparing the periodic reports and statistics for each semester.

Faculty Development Unit
Missions
Preparing the strategic plans for the activities of the unit and supervising and following up its implementation.
Identifying the training and programm needed to develop skills in the college and supporting the participation of faculty members.
Preparing the feasibility study and determining the training budget whether internal or external.
Spreading the culture of continuous improvement and development to achieve the ideal in overall performance.
Encouraging faculty members to participate in the courses, training programs and workshops offered by the Deanship of Development and Skills Development.
Encouraging creative work and professional achievement for faculty members to achieve academic and administrative excellence.
Drawing up the future strategies necessary to raise the skills of faculty members to achieve excellence and creativity in teaching and learning.
Organizing the necessary lectures and workshops in the College in coordination with academic departments.
Developing the skills of the faculty members and their abilities and raising professional competence.
