The Department of preventive dental science is concerned with the most important pillars of dentistry which is prevention. The department has four main branches: Community Dentistry, Periodontics, Orthodontics, and Pediatric Dentistry. The department focuses on improving the oral and dental health of both the patient in particular and the community in general. This department, in cooperation with other departments, teaches a number of courses in various modern methods based on the latest scientific developments in this field, to prepare students to provide comprehensive care for their patients. In addition, members of the department provide treatment services to university staff at the highest quality standards.
