The Department of Instructional and Learning Technologies was established in 1431 AH / 2010 AD in response to the technological revolution and developments especially in the field of education. The Department of Instructional and Learning Technologies is one of the support departments to the academic preparation programs for students of the College of Education and for students of the Higher Diploma.
The Department of Instructional and Learning Technologies has a selection of cadres from various academic backgrounds who are capable of preparing qualitative and applied research that employs educational technologies that serve different scientific disciplines.
The Department of Instructional and Learning Technologies held the First Digital Era Teacher Forum in 1438 AH to support the digital transformation in the educational field in the light of the 2030 vision. Teachers from all over the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia participated in the Forum. The Professional Teacher Award and the Digital Creativity awards for female students were inaugurated.
The Higher Diploma Program in E-learning was launched in 1440 AH / 2019 AD as the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia. Other master's and diploma programs are planned to qualify cadres for the digital market.
