Female students from the College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences participated in the "Gamethon 2022 AD" event, which was held under the supervision of the Saudi Federation for Electronic Sports, in cooperation with Al-Faisal University.
The participation of students Atheer Al-Harbi, Jana Al-Suwaid, and Nouf Al-Ahaidib, specializing in communication and swallowing disorders, resulted in their obtaining the third place in the track of software and games to support communication and speech in the Arabic language using augmentative and alternative communication techniques, by designing a game (Moderek).
(Moderek) is an educational game that serves the linguistic and cognitive stimulation of children, using fun interactive methods, using simple vocabulary and attractive graphics, and it is an exercise approved by language and speech specialists to help children with language delays.
The game also serves the specialists at that key stage, by helping them review the progress of their patients and sharing the results and statistics from the parents.
