About the Department of Chemistry:
In 1428 A.H., the Department of Chemistry was established in College of Science at Princess Nourah bint Abdulalrahman University with the efforts of faculty members who are distinguished by experience and high competence to meet the needs of the development plans in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and to take into account the reasons for improvement and development according to the needs of community.
The Department of Chemistry is distinguished at the level of research and academic activities. In addition, the department has many laboratories equipped with materials and the latest scientific equipment.
After a student finishes all the academic requirements, 131 credit units of study, she will obtain a Bachelor of scientific degree in Chemistry under supervision and guidance of around 70 members in various chemical branches.
The diversity of job opportunities for Chemistry graduates contributes to work in educational institutions, both higher and public, and work in government agencies or the private sector such as: a laboratory technician, in quality laboratories, pharmaceutical and chemical companies, drug companies, as well as water desalination companies.
As for the strategies, they contribute significantly in building and preparing the necessary plans for constant development including different learning mechanisms and teaching methods.
Finally, we all hope that this simple introduction will be a gateway to enjoy and complete the tour of the site and to know the chemistry department closely.
