Introductory Meeting for Language Exchange

The Institute of Arabic Language for Non-Arabic Speakers organized an online introductory meeting for language exchange. The aim of the meeting was to introduce the students to the Arabic language and different cultures. It also aimed to enable them to communicate directly with Arabic speakers, use modern technology, and improve their Arabic language skills by practicing with native speakers in the surrounding environment.

The meeting was conducted by Ms. Basma Al-Osaimi. She introduced the program, stating that it offers practice partners to support the process of learning and acquiring a second language.

Al-Osaimi also mentioned the program's rules. The partners should agree on a suitable time. They should adhere to it and take the learning process seriously. In addition, partners must introduce the Arabic culture and Saudi identity to the students of the institute. They should use formal Arabic in order to maintain a high level of language.

This meeting is part of the institute's endeavor to enhance student development by presenting a number of programs in support of communication and cultural exchange among the students. It also seeks to contribute to the community service programs offered by the university in accordance with the specialization of the institute.
