Plans and Curricula Unit

Roles:

  1. 1. Follow up and develop the educational plans of academic programs, and update them periodically to keep pace with the scientific development and the requirements of labor market.
  2. 2. Follow up the preparation, implementation and approval of the courses descriptions and descriptions of academic programs.
  3. 3. Follow up refereeing of study plans by academic advisors and specialists in coordination with the colleges.
  4. 4. Periodic review of functional classifications for the academic programs disciplines.
  5. 5. Coordinate with the (Ministry of Civil Service) to approve the functional classification for disciplines that are not classified in the classification manual.
  6. 6. Periodic review of disciplines manual to assume educational positions in the Ministry of Education.
  7. 7. Develop a procedural manual for creating study plans.
  8. 8. Investigate changes in study plans for the academic programs and subjects submitted by colleges.
  9. 9. Submit a quarterly report on the work of the Unit.
  10. 10. Prepare for the sessions of the Standing Committee for plans and curricula, and develop its minutes and submit them to the Rector for approval.
  11. 11. Provide the Deanship of Admission and Registration as well as Colleges periodically with updates on the approved study plans in the University Council.
