The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning delivers the ‘Assessment and Constructive Alignment’ training session, as part of the Accredited Academic Excellence Program

The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL), at the Academic Development Deanship (ADD), delivered the fifth training session, for a group of faculty members at the university, titled, "Assessment and Constructive Alignment", as part of the Academic Excellence Program (AEP), which is accredited by Advance HE in the United Kingdom (UK) and delivered by the Center's Academic Development Consultant, Dr. Ola Elshurafa

The training session aimed at introducing the trainees to the most important principles and strategies of formative and summative assessments, and how to apply constructive alignment through the aligning the learning and assessment activities with learning outcomes.

The session focused on enhancing the trainees' knowledge of the strategies of formative assessment and assessment for learning and their resulting benefit to student learning; enabling the trainees to effectively design assessment; reflecting on the trainees' practices in employing formative assessment; identifying the links between the trainees actual practice of assessment for learning and the core knowledge and professional values dimensions of the   UK Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF).​
