Mission

Prepare communications engineers who are scientifically and professionally qualified, have research and leadership skills, capable of dealing with modern technologies and work efficiently in various Telecommunication and information engineering fields.

Objectives

The educational objectives of the communications engineering programs are derived from the department's vision for outstanding graduates who have impeccable leadership skills.

The objectives of the communications engineering program are to prepare students to have successful careers by:

• Applying their skills or their computer and mathematical knowledge to work efficiently with the used systems.

• Designing, implementing and evaluating communication systems to achieve the required needs and the desired objectives.

• Installing and configuring communication networks, carrying out maintenance and managing all types of networks, especially complex ones, to achieve optimal performance and provide technical support to users.

• Analyzing and detecting errors and problems in communication systems, identifying their causes and possible alternatives to solve them using the optimal solution.

• Identifying telecommunication and network data from the data-flow, movement and its security and protection methods to reach conclusions and give recommendations for more reliable telecommunication network systems.
