​The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences aims to achieve excellence and modernity in both teaching and research for the aim of improving community health care. It contributes to the teaching of compulsory specialization requirements and courses in pharmacology, pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmaceutics. It also participates in teaching the pharmacology and pharmaceutical chemistry parts in the integrated pharmacotherapy courses. The department also teaches pharmacology courses for the other health colleges programs at the university.
The Department includes 35 faculty members, and contains several teaching laboratories in microbiology, organic chemistry, and pharmaceutics that are equipped with a state of art devices to serve the required purpose.
