Scientific Societies

The scientific societies are one of the main tools of the academic work and professional research development. Developed countries have emphasized the importance of scientific societies since the early 19th century, which has had a major impact on the scientific development witnessed today in the international scientific arena.

 

Scientific societies are the forum that brings its affiliates together, where they meet periodically to discuss and clarify ideas that contribute to the development of sciences in a particular specialization, as well as through specialized courses, scientific magazines, annual conferences, seminars and workshops. Research papers are presented and discussed with all transparency to develop ideas and insights to become a reality to be used in the advancement of the science and the profession development.

 

Therefore, Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University has been keen from the beginning to establish a department for scientific societies to be one of the tributaries of scientific mobility within the university and fall under the Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research Vice-Rectorate. The Department's mission is to organize administrative procedures in support of the establishment of scientific societies, under the university's umbrella, provide administrative advice in various fields and facilitate its work for the benefit of its members and affiliates and the community. In addition to the development of its research outputs in its specialization and work to develop them in order to activate the community of specialists in the same field, and act their role out to develop academic and practical knowledge and constructive communication with the community inside and outside the University.
