First, I would like to congratulate the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman, on the occasion of the National Day of our beloved nation; the kingdom of strength, determination, abundance, and giving.

On this occasion, we renew allegiance to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman, and confirm loyalty to our leaders and our nation.

Within this context, we look back on our past and the lessons learned. On this day today, 87 years ago, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was unified by the late King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman; the brilliant leader who was able to unite this country after diaspora, and to make it a homeland for all citizens after much hardship. This path that he began was followed by his sons; the faithful kings of this country who have led the nation to a present of leadership, strength, and prosperity.

It is the ambition of our leaders that this nation becomes at the forefront of advanced states and the heart of the Islamic World, under the immortal flag of “There is no God but Allah, Muhammad is the messenger of Allah”. As Saudi citizens, we are proud of the international presence that our country has achieved to date. Perhaps reviving the administrative authority with young capacities stands witness to the wisdom of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques who believes in the importance of mixing experience, capabilities, and youth to achieve his ambitious vision for the nation.

On this day today, 87 years ago, the first steps were taken toward the establishment of the nation of strength and determination. Today, we celebrate the achievements that were the result of our leaders’ wisdom and the seriousness of the Saudis, making our nation today a symbol for growth and advancement.

We celebrate National day this year as we experience the launching of the 2030 Vision, in which the nation bet on its citizens, firmly believing that the source of all good fortunes are the citizens themselves. Hence, the state seeks to qualify and rehabilitate citizens through the different internal and external educational institutions.

Those who have been following the activities of King Salman since he assumed the rule of this nation can clearly see that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is currently in a transitional phase, with its strategic role in the Islamic World, and the establishment of a huge coalition that has included most of the Islamic and Arab countries to restore legitimacy in Yemen as a first step in the coalition project. The second step taken by the coalition was to form a united front against terrorism and its supporters. This was done by holding several concurrent summits in Riyadh, in the presence of the American president. Through these summits, the participating parties took a unified stand against terrorism and its supporters by the establishment of an international center for confronting terrorism in Riyadh. The international community has begun to see the fruits of this coalition with the elimination of many of the terrorist organizations in many areas of disturbance, especially in the Arab World.

This strategic coalition, through which King Salman confirms the Kingdom’s leadership in the Islamic World and the unified efforts for confronting terrorism, did not deter our leaders from continuing the local development project with initiatives determined by the 2030 Vision that comprehensively tackled all development and modernization requirements in the KSA. HRH Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman stressed that our nation’s vision is to become a strong flourishing state that can include all under its Quran constitution and its moderate approach, according to a vision that confirms the vitality of the society and the nation and allows us to achieve a prosperous economy that provides quality life to all citizens.

Accordingly, and in compliance with the objectives of the Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University (PNU), the university has academically partnered with international universities and institutions, eventually launching specific programs in vital specializations and fields that can achieve the vision of the nation and turn women into true partners in the execution of national development plans.

In synergy with the National Transformation Program that confirms the comprehensive vision in the government work system, PNU entered into several local partnerships aiming for integration and exchange of benefits between the university and the different labor institutions. We are also proud to present the nation on this great day of unification a number of achievements realized by our female students who have received both local and international awards in different academic fields. PNU has also launched a number of awards at national and university levels to honor distinctive women in different academic fields.

We praise Allah for PNU’s many achievements, standing witness to the greatness of this national and the depth of its history, and confirming the amount of support that the university receives from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bing Abdulaziz, and HRH Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman.
