The Innovation Unit at the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center seeks to attract creative and innovative projects and provide all support and guidance needed through events, competitions, hackathons and consulting sessions. The digital innovation lab of the university is the starting point for incubating innovative ideas, where the necessary technical resources are available to develop these ideas and transform them into advanced technical products or services with added value that contribute to achieving the objectives of Saudi vision 2030 towards promoting the orientation to the cognitive economy.
Objectives
- Promoting the culture of creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship among female students and faculty members at the university.
- Attracting and sponsoring creative and innovative ideas and projects into reality.
- Creating an internal database containing entrepreneurial ideas and projects that distinguished by innovative and creative excellence.
- Creating a committee specialized in innovation and creativity to study pioneering ideas and projects as well as evaluation and experimentation of innovative ideas and projects.
- Providing supportive environment for innovation and creativity by equipping technical and innovative laboratories at the university.
- Marketing and commercializing innovative products into industrial products.
