Under the auspices of the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad Al-Sheikh, the College of Law was launched accompanying the forum, “The Legal Structure in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Empowering Women Status," held on Monday, March 28, 2022, corresponding to 25/8/1443 AH, at the Conference and Seminar Center in the university, where it hosted a selection of speakers in the legal community and discussed two main topics.

 

First Topic:

Developing the legislative system and digital transformation within the legislative development framework and reformations adopted in Vision 2030, which aims to strengthen justice system, guarantee the rights of society groups, and increase reliability in legal and judicial procedures.

 

The speakers on this topic:

Dr. Noura Al Hamad (session moderator), Assistant Professor and Legal Advisor at the Ministry of Environment Water and Agriculture

Dr. Majed Al Dasimani (speaker), Director of the General Department of Institutional Communication at the Public Prosecution

Dr. Abdul Wahab Al-Khudairi (speaker), Head of the Department of Private Law at King Saud University

 

Second Topic:

Women and the Legislative System: Empowerment and Capability. Vision 2030 has targeted the Saudi woman and paved the way for her to become a key element in society and a contributor to the development movement, all of which have accelerated the provision of a legislative environment that empowers Saudi women in all fields.

Dr. Maymouna Al Khalil (speaker), Director of the National Observatory for Women's Participation in Development

Dr. Hawazen Al-Muqrin (speaker), Director of the Women's Leadership Center
