​​    The Department of English Literature in the College of Languages seeks to achieve the mission of the college. It aims to produce young graduates who meet the community demands and to achieve cross-cultural communication.  The importance of studying English Literature lies in the fact that it serves as a bridge of intercultural communication with others; integrating balanced rational openness without compromising the values, beliefs, and principles of Islam; hence, providing graduates with intellectual immunity against any repercussions or negative impact that they may encounter. The study of English Literature plays a major role in the acquisition of spoken and written English; supporting learning and communication skills; creative writing and analytic journalism; and enhancing critical analysis skills.
