​          Intercultural communication relies heavily on translation and interpreting. Due to the growing demand from the public and private sectors for inter-cultural communication, careers in the translation industry will continue to grow over the next decade, much faster than the average for all occupations. The Department of Translation is one of the leading departments not in the College of Languages but also in Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University (PNU). The department offers a comprehensive academic program that provides fertile ground for in-depth knowledge in translation theory and practice. The program aims to shape students’ translation skills and knowledge. The faculty of translation department aims to develop an academic program that will serve as a strong foundation for students’ professional growth to meet the demand of local communities and wider society; enhance the students’ academic skills; gain experience in a working environment. We are confident that we can provide an educational environment that strives to produce highly- qualified graduates who are can face the challenges in the work field.
