Internship Unit

Internship unit was established in 2017 to assure that the graduates of Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University have received the best training available in Saudi Arabia and outside during their Medical Internship year.

Internship year is a foundation year for work-based learning, and a key part of the transition from medical student education to independent medical practice and career development in a specialty. The student is required to successfully complete a 12-months rotation in clinical services.

Vision:

To graduate outstanding female physicians from Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University, who are highly qualified to meet the international standards in the outcomes of medical education and practical application.

Mission:

Qualifying students with high quality scientific and practical qualifications, that are capable of continuous self-education. In addition to conducting scientific researches to insure the promotion of health and community service.

Objectives:

1- Improving clinical skills and applying medical information through clinical training, based on evidence and medical proofs.

2- Training internship doctors on adapting in the work system with the medical staff.

3- Training internship doctors on maintaining techniques and manners in order for them to treat their fellows and patients gently.

4- Training internship doctors on communication, elocution, and some administrative skills.

5- Applying the ethics of the career in medicine and committing to the ethics of a Muslim Doctor in all treatments.
